Many of us are working hard to parent differently than we were parented. But even with the best intentions, we all have moments we wish we could do over. We lose our patience, raise our voice, shut down, become reactive, or simply miss what our child needs in the moment.
The good news? Research suggests that healthy relationships aren't built through perfection. They're built through connection, disconnection, and repair.
In this class we'll explore what happens when relationships experience rupture and, more importantly, what helps us reconnect afterward. Drawing on the work of Edward Tronick, Claudia Gold, Daniel Siegel, and Tina Payne Bryson, we'll examine why repair matters, what it teaches children, and how these moments can actually strengthen trust, resilience, and attachment.
Together, we'll explore the role of brain states, emotional regulation, and self-awareness in the repair process, while offering practical ways to move forward when things don't go as planned.
Because getting it wrong isn't the end of the story. Often, it's what happens next that matters most.
